Team IMPACT
Junior Board of Directors for Easter Seals of the Birmingham Area
Who Are We?
Easter Seals Team IMPACT represents a group of civic-minded young professionals interested in making a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities. Approximately 30-40 active members.
What do We Do?
The Primary Functions of Team IMPACT:
1. Raise funds to underwrite free/reduced fee services for our pediatric therapy program
2. Increase community knowledge about what Easter Seals is and what we do.
What is the Commitment?
Team IMPACT is responsible for one annual fundraising event- Walk With Me.
Walk With Me will be held in Spring 2010 at Veteran's Park in Alabaster.
In 2009 this event raised more than $67,000.00 to provide therapy for children with disabilities! In the past three years, this event has attracted more than 775 walkers.
Prior to the event Team IMPACT will meet approximately 3-4 times between November and March. Meetings will be held at 5:30 at the Easter Seals office in Homewood.
We ask all Team IMPACT members to support and assist with Walk With Me each year. You can be as involved as your interests and schedule allow.
