Medical Assistance Grant Program

The Medical Assistance Grant Program assists individuals in paying for medical requirements of children and adults who have disabilities and who are unable to provide for their own needs.

Medical Grant Success Stories
  • Cassidy is 11 years old and receives Occupational and Speech Therapy at Easter Seals.  Her diagnosis is Down Syndrome.  She has been a patient with Easter Seals for many years, but this past year financial hardship made it difficult for the family to continue services for Cassidy.  Once they applied for the Medical Assistance Grant Cassidy was able to continue therapy for a little while longer.  The family was very appreciative for the financial assistance.
  • Harrison is an 11 year old boy with Autism.  He attends Easter Seals for Occupational and Speech therapy.  Like many families the year has brought financial hardship and they did not have health insurance that would cover Harrison’s therapy services.  By them receiving the Medical Assistance it allowed Harrison to receive the therapies he needed.
  • Trisha is a 19 year old girl who has an Articulation Disorder.  While receiving services at Easter Seals her insurance was cancelled.  When they received the Medical Assistance Grant, Trisha was able to continue therapy until her new insurance began.  Her services were never interrupted and she was very excited to be able to continue.
  • Olivia is a 9 year old girl who has Developmental Delays.  She receives Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy at Easter Seals.  She wanted to participate in our Summer Group Program, but that wasn’t covered by insurance.  When she received the Grant she was able to join the summer program and had a wonderful time.
